Every Sunday, a little celebration takes place aboard the Avontuur if the conditions permit it. During the Captain’s Reception in the afternoon, the entire crew reassembles to reflect on the past week and to have a little sip of carefully chosen bottle of rhum. It’s the only occasion when it’s allowed to come to the joy of a little tipsiness. It’s also the time for the cook to become creative and surprise the crew with one of his highly valued cake recipes.

Jeden Sonntagnachmittag findet an Bord der Avontuur ein gemeinsames Zusammenkommen statt, wenn die Bedingungen es zulassen. Während des Kapitänsempfangs am Nachmittag versammelt sich die gesamte Besatzung, um die vergangene Woche Revue passieren zu lassen und einen kleinen Schluck einer sorgfältig ausgewählten Flasche zu trinken. Es ist die einzige Gelegenheit, bei der es erlaubt ist, in den Genuss eines kleinen Schlückchens mit Umdrehungen zu kommen. Es ist auch die Zeit, in der der Koch kreativ wird und die Mannschaft mit einem seiner hochgeschätzten Kuchenrezepte überrascht.
